Watching The Monkees on Saturdays was the best [or was it on Sundays?] They were lovable AND funny. One of my favorite songs recorded by The Monkees, "I'm a Believer", 1966, was composed by Neil Diamond and on the Shrek soundtrack [Smashmouth, 2001].
